Following years of creative work, two entrepreneurs set out to provide a once-and-for-all solution to the ergonomical problems with traditional PCs.

Constant stressful PC noise, PC vandalism, hardware theft, wires, unattractive PCs, easy third-party access to momentous technology, immobility and dust could no longer be ignored.

Reluctant to give up on the freedom and flexibility of high powered standard PC components, the entrepreneurs concluded that only a furniture based solution could sufficiently address all the issues.

As a twist of fate the market yielded no suitable products and armed with both vision and previous design experience, the COCOON project was started in 1999.
