A door in the front and the back of the cabinet maintains easy access to wires, buttons and removable media. The cabinet doors are lockable, powerfully hinged, and will open an amazing 180 degrees.

Shipping as a one-size-fits-all, the COCOON cabinet has been designed to fit any standard midi-tower PC. It fits well under the desk, ships in 5 different veneer types and with a contemporary Scandinavian design, COCOON compliments any existing office environment.

Security and Privacy

Both cabinet doors implement the locking mechanism and as the cabinet is locked, reinforced steel bars shoot deep into the top and bottom of the cabinet.

Milled-in steel hinges, strong MDF wood, and internally fitted cabinet doors ensure strong passive security.

The 180° system lock incorporates a patented cylinder system with separate casing and cylinder core. It's a flexible system that allows the administrator of a facility to define PC access privileges down to the individual employee or student. A master key ensures full access for the administrator and a fitter key allows cylinders to be replaced for future requirements.

Mounted with Acoustic Plates

To ensure the customer an ultra quiet PC, COCOON implements industry leading acoustic plates. The 20mm thick plates offer unmatched soundproofing and extremely effective noise absorption of roughly 90-95%. The end result -- depending on the PC -- is an overall noise emission of 20-25dB(A), ranking well below the silent PC classification and comparable to the silence you experience at night time.

The patented composition of wood and acoustic plates offers a solution that is cleanable, completely fire resistant, and environmentally safe.

Efficient Cooling

Cooling of the PC is vital for reliable operation and safety. To ensure proper cooling, COCOON ships with a built-in 120mm 4WATTs low-noise fan.

The COCOON fan constantly surrounds the PC with a pillow of fresh cool air, sucked in from the coolest place - the floor.

Leaving no noticeable traces of the original PC noise, the COCOON air-flow passes through a long noise absorbing duct before leaving the cabinet. For the ultimate noise reduction, the fan itself is vibration damped and exhaust air is sent sharply downwards at the backside of COCOON.

For different ambient temperatures and PC cooling requirements, the COCOON fan is fitted on a replaceable module. The fan module is accessible to the user and it can be equipped with any fan of choice. It is a future proof solution that allows the cabinet to be fine-tuned, maintained and scale to yet unknown requirements.

With millions of cubic feet of air being drawn through your PC every year, what gets left behind could destroy the electronics. Under humid conditions, fibers and dirt can become conductive and cause erratic system operation or complete failure.

COCOON provides an exchangeable and washable dust filter that not only keeps the PC components clean, but also filters the office air, and decreases the risk of an overheated PC.

The filter can be easily removed and replaced. No tools necessary.
